COMMENTS

Originally built as a hotel in 1908, the Austin A. Bell building was remodeled in 1999 by Murray Franklin. The lobby interior features woodwork from the building's original construction. The story is told that Austin Bell told his nephew he was going to build the brick building, but died the next day. However, his wife Eva still followed through by constructing the building of brick from San Francisco. Now, the Austin A. Bell building has been converted from a historical hotel into loft-style condominiums.
